Fantastic Cruise by
Ronald B from Round Rock, TX Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: The Staff Cons: Last Day Had of and on rough sea The staff was fantastic they anticipated your wishes before you could put them into wprds. Everyone I met was courteous and friendly. The maid service were sort of like ninjas they were very seldom seen but your room was always taken care of when you left your cabin. The waiiters we had at the 6 oclock time slot in the Renoire room , table 133 were fantastic, Yogi and his partner made it fun to go to dinner. The entire ship was kept spotless at all times. The entertainment for the most part was wonderful. I would recommend the Conquest for a cruise anytime.. Ship Quality

  A Big Disappointment by
A Traveler from Midwest City, Ok Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: The Ship was clean, the room was nice Cons: The hassles, everything was a hassle The food was good enough, but certainly not outstanding. The meals were a chore instead of a pleasure. The cost of the cruise was the least expensive part, the extras cost much more than the cruise. Do not be fooled by the all inclusive cost, becasuse that is not the case. The crew was O.K., but not great and had a hard time understanding English. Some were quite rude. Would I take another cruise? Probably not, and not Carnival. Just an overall unpleasant experience. Ship Quality

  Great trip by
A Traveler from Fort Worth, TX Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: room, service, food Cons: ship seemed smaller than I like The ship was very clean and had lots of hand sanitation everywhere. It just seemed a little more cramped than other ships I have been on. Ship Qualitythe layout was strange. Could not walk straight thru ship because of the galley. Dining/FoodFood was excellent and had about anything you could want. Could get food even if it was not on the menu that particular evening Stateroom QualityWonderful beds and lots of storage space in room and bathroom Ship Staff QualityThe staff was the best. Catered to your every need both in the room and dining room Entertainment & ActivitiesAwesome entertainment. Top notch. My husband got to be in the Legends show on the last night as "Elvis" 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

  Huge Disappointment! by
Angelica R from Corpus Christi Texas Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: The excursions Cons: The on borad service Beautiful Ship. Very clean. Terrible service. Ship QualityBeautiful Ship. Very clean. Dining/FoodThe buffet was wonderful. A little bit of everything for even the pickiest eatter. The dinning room staff in the Monnet were aweful to us. We were not addressed by name as we had expected to be. When the waiter saw that my husband's name was Ricardo; he thought it would be appropriate to start trying to speak to him in Spanish, when clearly our primary language is English. We were not offered any bread. When we asked for it, it was a huge chore for the waiter to get us some. When he brought the bread basket, he plopped on our plates what he thought we should have. We ordered water and tea, I told told by the waiter that I could have tea when I finished my water. We had not been offered the wine list; therefore we did not order wine but the same waiter thought it would be appropriate to remove a wine glass from our table to sereve wine to a lady in the table next to us. The list of events goes on and on. I called guest services twice and nothing was addressed! Stateroom QualityA lot smaller than I expected but it was cozy. Ship Staff QualityOn our seven day cruise, not once was any member of my family addressed by name. It seemed that we were the only ones having these bad experiences because our friends loved their waiter and their stuart. We had no idea who our stuart was until after the third day and only because my kids approached to ask. Once we learned who our stuart was we addressed him by name. Gary was great though he never called us by name. Entertainment & ActivitiesMore than enough to do Children's ProgramsMy eleven year old loved the kids camp and my fourteen year old hated it. Either way we had a day full of events. We tried to make the best out of this very disappointing vacation. 3 out of 5 people found this review helpful.

The Best vacation I've ever had by
Lawrence M. from Phoenix, AZ Sailing date: May 2009Pros: I scuba dived for the first time Cons: Nothing really, My wife and I just got married two months ago and this was our honeymoon. We both step on board not knowing what to expect. I admit, that when I first got on it was all WAY overwhelming, but thats a good thing. The room service people are so friendly and are like little ninjas. You can step away from the room for like 5 min. and your room will be cleaned. The food is excellent, if you have the money I HIGHLY recommend the supper club, book it early though. The shows were awsome and very entertaining. It is very family oriented. They have things for your kids during the day and even little hangout places for kids, like a hangout club. I give this a 5/5 and am already planning another cruise. Ship QualityThe ship is very massive, Things to do for the whole family. The staff are always cleaning 24/7 so nothing is ever dirty. Dining/FoodFood is excellent, things that everyone would like. Its bad because some things are open all day so that means you can eat all day. I put on like 10lbs from this trip:( Stateroom QualityThe room I stayed in was kinda small, but enough for two people. I recommend upgrading rooms before its too late like it was for me. Take a look at the rooms on Carnivals website so you get an idea what they offer and what suits you and your family. Ship Staff QualityMan the nicest people you will ever meet. The have the upmost professionalism. They will drop whatever it is they are doing just to help you out. I will only cruise with Carnival because of the excellent customer service. Thanks again Ezra, who was our room service guy. He was great. Entertainment & ActivitiesMy wife and I didn't really participate in a lot of the activities and when you go on a cruise you will see why... There is always something happening and it would be impossible to do half of them. The shows were good and very entertaining. They had these break dancing guys from New York on our ship and they put on very entertaining shows for us.

George Town, Grand CaymanMy wife and I accidently missed our 8am scuba diving excusion, but they were nice enough to put us with the later class. So we shopped around for like 5 hours. Trust me, if you don't want to spend all your money only take with you what your willing to spend. This place is very VERY expensive. We did stop by this Pirate store where you can buy very inexpensive alcohol if your wanting to get some, its cheaper then the liquor store by the boat. We ate at the Hard rock cafe here... Don't do this because they are expensive, just eat at a little diner or something. We finally went scuba diving. This was the coolest thing I have ever done. You start off with someone telling you important things you need to know while in the ocean, then you get your gear on and practice in the pool for a little while. Once you got it down you go into the ocean. I got about 35 minutes in the ocean which was the best thing I've ever done. Oh and don't forget to bring a under water camera to take pictures.
Don't Miss: Beginners scuba diving Montego Bay, JamaicaMy wife and I did the bobsled and dunns river falls. The bob sledding part was ok... But I don't recommend it because you spend like almost 2 hours just trying to go down a roller coaster that last less than 2 min. Dunns river falls is a must for the whole family, be sure to buy a water proof camera though. Oh and whatever you do DON'T, I repeat DON"T buy the dvd they try and sell you. Its $40 us and is like 20 minutes long and not worth it. I didn't like how we spent the whole time while the ship was in port trying to get to Dunns river falls. So we only had like 15 or 20 minutes to shop by the ship. It is not a good idea to do it that way because we just did a lot of impulse buying.
Don't Miss: Dunns River Falls is a must do 7 out of 7 people found this review helpful.

  Very Nice ship. by
David G from Texas Sailing date: May 2009Pros: Great Food and Service Cons: To many days at sea, needed three ports or at least two days in Grand Cayman's and to many people at the ship pools, upper deck and casino. The ship was very nice and the service and food served was excellent. Since they cancelled the day in Cozumel because of the flue they should have picked another port to visit. The $20 ship credit did not make up for five days at sea. Only Carnival benefited because they sold more drinks and people played in the casino more. Several passengers received last minute deals because of cancellations and only paid 1/4 the cost I paid for the same cruise and stateroom. I would never book another cruise with five days at sea. Having 3000 guests on the ship really filled the pool deck, making it almost impossible to use the pools. The casino at night was the same way. It was hard to get a slot machine. Grand cayman was very nice. I did not like Jamaica and would not spend a dime to vacation on that island. This was my first long cruise and it was ok but I would have enjoyed more time off the ship. I would not do this cruise again. Ship Quality

  Holy Cow! Carnival rocks! by
Karen K from Moore, Oklahoma Sailing date: Apr 2009Pros: Everything!!! Cons: Nothing! The ship was extremely clean and the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. This was our first cruise and I was very skeptical about cruising. I have been transformed into a cruise fan. I would take a Carnival every month if I could. We hope to be booking another cruise in the bear future. The cruise director, Chris Jefferson, was unbelievably funny, informative, and a complete delight. Our cabin steward, Ernesta, was fantastic. I can't give Raj and his assistance in the Renoet restaurant enough praise. The ship was easy to navigate and the Capers were wonderful. The entire experience was exceptional. Ship QualityExceptional!! Dining/FoodI gained ten pounds!! It was fabulous!! Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityFantastic staff and crew!! Entertainment & ActivitiesIt's not called "The Fun Ship" for no reason. Children's ProgramsExceptional!

  Good vacation by
bea a from houston Sailing date: Mar 2009Pros: lots of leisure time Cons: the excursions were very expensive It was the best vacation we've taken. I would of liked an indoor theater and more activities for adults to do during the day that didn't require paying money. I don't think they should charge for pilates, yoga and the bingo was very expensive. Dining/Foodfood was incredibly good. Stateroom Quality

Efrain G. from Edinburg, TX Sailing date: Dec 2008Pros: Service, Activities, Ports of Call Cons: Not enough activities geared to young couples. Very clean, hospitable, and relaxed atmosphere. Will cruise this ship again by
Mark B. from Topeka, KS Sailing date: Jun 2008Pros: Everything Cons: Pool and slide closed early on the last day This was my family's first cruise; four children (11,13,16 and 18), my Wife (42) my Mother (80th birthday) and myself (47). We didn't know what to expect, but we were overwhelmed with this vacation!!! We each had our own things to keep us entertained, and we had plenty of opertunity for quality family time too. This was the perfect vacation! In fact my kids get teary-eyed and us adults get a lump in our throat every time we see something that reminds us of the cruise. I doubt this family will ever have a "land" vacation again. Ship QualityEverything was new and exciting. Plenty of "eye-candy" Dining/FoodThe best; from the formal dinners to the hamburger bar. Stateroom QualityWe splurge on top level staterooms, but this was a mistake. We only slept there and could have save thousands on lower-level interior rooms. Ship Staff QualityBetter than the best - only concern is will the next Cruise Director meet our elevated expectations. Entertainment & ActivitiesPlenty of options for everyone. Children's ProgramsKids were so enthralled with programs that we forgot they were along at times. 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.
