  A Fabulous Cruise! by
Beverly H from FL Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: The food was delicious! The best I have tasted in the world! Cons: I was with my husband and they put us by ourselves at a table for two. I'd rather be with a large table so you can meet interesting people. I don't think there was a place to request how many at your table. There should be next to the main seating. The Carnival ships are the best on the open seas! I have sailed on many others and they do not compare. Ship Quality

Beautiful scenery - but watch the cost by
Jacque S. from State College, PA Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: Cozumel snorkeling - mini jeep tour Cons: prices on board The $100 onboard credit they are offering is only enough to cover the cost of the tips they automatically add to your bill ($50 per person). That will go to the housekeeping staff and the wait staff of the dining room (even if all you eat at are the buffets). That does NOT include tipping the maitre-d or the bartenders (each drink automatically gets a 15% gratiuity added to the bill). Onboard drinking is expensive unless you have a fondness for terrible iced tea. Soda is $36 for the week pass (more if you want the souvenier cup) and mixed drinks are $10 each. You can't use cash for anything, all they do is swipe your card so it's very easy to loose track of how much you are spending until you get that final bill the last day. Ship QualityShip was fine - the housekeeping staff works very hard to have your rooms well taken care of. But there was only 1 small pool - and on a hot day a lot of people use it to just stand in the cool water. Dining/FoodFood was everywhere - buffets snacks - you can have mexican food and hamburgers at midnight. Ice cream all the time - and although there were some that weren't impressive, others were very good. And a lot of variety. Stateroom QualityBeds were wonderfully comfortable. Best night's sleep I've had in years. Housekeeping staff kept everything clean. Ship Staff QualityEveryone was friendly. Waiters are a little pushy trying to get you to buy drinks - even when you have full ones in front of you. Entertainment & ActivitiesMini Jeep tour in Cozumel was terrific. Snorkeling was amazing and the tour guides were very knowledgeable and fun. I highly recommend it. 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

  Carnival Inspiration by
Chris B. from Boston, MA Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: Endless ammounts of activities Cons: lack of precautions to prevent the spread of the common cold among passangers. inside rooms are bunk beds not full beds... This was a very fun ship to sail on it offered lots of different ammentities and the service. staff really did try their hardest to make everything enjoyable. Everyone on the ship including the other guests were all there to have an enjoyable time and that type of upbeat attitude was a vacation in itself. However upon disembarking from the ship we both fell ill with colds which made our return more difficult. Ship Quality

Cozumel, Mexicowe only encountered Playa Mia Beach and Margarita ville. The beach was very nice, even though it rained while we were there. Margarita was a definite must hit attraction though eating and being able to go for a swim was a nice change.

  Fabulous cruise by
Glo T from Atlanta, GA Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: Cost & Service Cons: Wanted to stay longer Very clean; staff extremely friendly. Great food. Have been on several cruises, also Carnival cruises, and this was the best! Ship Quality
Dining/FoodOur waiter "G" went all out, bringing extra food & desserts. Wore a flashing lite at his heart. Waiters did dances, funny things nightly. Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityTeresa at Lobby Bar was so friendly. I bought a "soda fountain" card and they would add cherry juice & cherries for me to my Diet Cokes. Entertainment & ActivitiesDo think they should have two shows every nite, instead of the one, late show on two of the four nites. We can't stay up that late.

Don't Miss: Carlos & Charlie's Senor Frog's Restaurant - didn't go this time, but have gone in the past. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  Just back from paradise by
Susan H. from Canton, NC Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: Tulum ruins in Mexico, cleanliness of ship, room steward, Mardi Gras waitress Cons: pool was overcrowded most of the time We had a wonderful time on our first cruise. The ship was beautiful and very clean. We had no trouble finding everything. There was always something to do. The staff of waiters and bar waiters were always very helpful and friendly. Our room steward did a wonderful job each night tending to our cabin. The room was small for four persons but I knew that we would not be in it often anyway. Our only complaint was the pool area was so small. It is too bad there can't be on pool for kids and one for adults. My daughter heard an adult complain about kids being in the hot tubs, but I thought the Serenity hot tubs were adult only. So I told my daughter not to worry. That adult has a place to go if she wanted to be away from so many children. We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to go on another cruise with Carnival. Ship Quality

Cozumel, MexicoYou have to see the Tulum Ruins!
George Town, Grand CaymanWe did the Pirate Encounter. It was a good time for the kids. I wished the pirates would have stayed in character the entire time-even as we were sailing back to the docks.

  worst ever by
moe m from orlando, fl Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: nothing Cons: everything My wife, child and I went on this cruise on the week of 8/10/2009, we overpaid for this cruise it cost us about $3000, and this, is not worth that. Food was really bad and cheaply made, crew had to be the most unfrendly crew I ever seen, ships activities were bad, there are always actitives to see how they can take your money but not much more. it became clear to me, after a day or two, to realize that this is a nightmare. All they do at all times is to see how they can take your money. a constant harassment about taking you picture, about 5 to 6 times a day, you are stopped everywhere so they can sell you something, to shop at the places they tell you, to buy their product and overpriced services. not even the casino was clean. To be fare there were very few people in this cruise that were friendly to us.... and that was because we had to tip them everytime they saw us. I will never recommend this cruise to anyone or this company, all this people are money hungry Ship Quality

  A great time. by
Kim S. from Kalamazoo, MI Sailing date: Feb 2009Pros: The food was great. Many kids programs. Cons: Lack of space around pool. We went during spring break, so there were a lot of kids and college age students. Food was exceptional. Wait staff at dinner was wonderful with our 8 year old, made puppets and made her feel special. Truly a wonderful family experience. Ship QualityA little dated and needed spucing up. Ship was going into dry dock after our cruise and probably needed to go before hand. Dining/FoodOur older daughter loved the chocolate lava cake and had it every night. Our youngest had pizza for lunch every single day. Lots of choices for everyone. Stateroom QualityPlenty of room in such a small space. Ship Staff QualityMost staff was friendly. We have had friendllier room stewards on other cruises. Took him 3 days to get us the right size life vest. Some times we would call and he would never show. Entertainment & ActivitiesEnjoyed all shows. If you like to be kept busy, they have stuff happening all the time. You can chose how busy you want to be. Children's ProgramsLots of activities for all ages. Never saw our middle child. Made friends the first day and was kept busy with activities the entire time. She had a blast. For our oldest who wasn't into the clubbing scene, needed some other alternatives, but had a great time anyways. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

A very relaxing excellent cruise by
A Traveler from Tampa, FL Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: Staff This was our first cruise vacation. I do not have enough words to describe the experience. In short I can say it was sweet and memorable experience and something to look forward for. The staff were very cordial, respectful and very accomodating to our needs. I would definitely recommend and encourage anyone to take this cruise. Ship Quality
