Another Great Cruise by
Mark B. from United States Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Entertainment, Food, Crew Cons: Room was 77 degrees - kind of warmwer than we like. Ship was identical in structure to the Conquest out of Galveston, and I suppose all other Carnival Conquest-class ships. It was nice, but I wish I would have shose something different. Ship QualityTop-notch, but the decorating on this ship was not as nice as the Conquest Dining/FoodAbsolutely the bnest, but there was no midnight grand-buffett Stateroom QualityRoom was great, but it was rather warm. They hooked us up with a fan, but that made it kind of tacky... Ship Staff QualityThe best - entertainment, state-room and dining staff all exceeded expectations. Entertainment & ActivitiesCould not have asked for more. 1 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

  An Excellent Holiday by
A Traveler from Orlando, Florida Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: All the activities and variety of options provided non-stop excitement Cons: Having to sleep. We were allowed to travel at our own pace with ample activities to not be bored. The staff were always willing to meet any request. Ship QualityThe ship is going into renovation next year and it is obvious it is time. Dining/FoodMealsl met the expectation, but there could have been improvement to be rated higher. The quaity of wine selection could have been better. Stateroom Quality

  Great Cruise by
Joy R. from Georgia Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: Most liked the price we got from Priceline!! Best cruise value ever. Cons: The ports were disappointing and Carnival has really scaled back on the Captain's Cocktail Party and the Past Guests' Reception. Great food and entertainment, especially the comedians. Really wonderful to see and participate in the Susan G. Komen On Deck For The Cure Walk - keep it up!!! Ship Quality

  Had a good time by
A Traveler from Texas Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: The excursion options were awesome Cons: Not enough daytime activities while at sea The service was wonderful and the choice of excursions were extensive. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodI have been on many cruises and I found the food on this one was the least enjoyable of any other. It wasn't terrible, it just wasnt the quality of all of the others I have experienced. My husband and son, who didn't know the difference since this was their first cruise, thought it wasn't bad but wasn't as great as I had led them to expect before we boarded. Again, not bad... just no where near up to par with others. Maybe it is an economical cost cutting measure? Stateroom Quality

Entertainment & ActivitiesI would have liked to have seen more daytime activities. 0 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

July 2009 Western Caribbean- Carn. Glory by
A Traveler from North Carolina Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: Very good service Cons: Ship security people scanning items acting unprofessional The Carnival Glory is an older ship, but very clean. All customer services were excellent and made the cruise worry free. I learned from this cruise bigger isn't always better. The quality of service really made the difference for our experience. Ship QualityEverything was clean and polished with friendly staff everywhere. Dining/FoodWhether it's buffet, sitdown or the Emerald Room it's all quite good! Stateroom QualityWe booked late, so our choices were limited. The room was nice and mostly comfortable. My only real complaint is the tv was old and channel selection was poor. Ship Staff QualityThe staff were always friendly and very helpful. Entertainment & ActivitiesThis ship is great for families with kids, good shows, and plenty of activities for nearly everyone. I would have liked to seen more activities on cooking, wine and seminars on culture of the destination instead of shopping. Children's ProgramsPlenty of kids stuff here

Belize City, BelizeSnorkel tour with Hugh Parkey's Dive Connection was the most professional snorkel tour for the cruise. The safety divers did a great job of helping weak swimmers. Check out the Arts and Crafts shop at the port. If you dont have a large group of people, don't bother walking outside the port wall, apparently it can get sporty if you're on your own.
Costa Maya, MexicoWent snorkeling, we had a good time. The locals are quite friendly, maybe because the Mexican Marines guarded port? Cuban cigars are pricey, too. Great place for families with kids. Big pools and beaches.
Cozumel, MexicoWe visited the Mayan ruins of Tulum, this was a great excursion. After the tour, be prepared to visit their beach, it's the best we visited on the cruise!
Nassau, BahamasWent snorkeling on a catamaran, very unprofessional. Their equipment broken or frayed. The guides were late so we got lost trying to them, as a result. Generally, their attitudes came across as if they had something better to do. No safety divers. We'll do a better job of choosing a dive tour next time, lesson learned. The snorkel site was very nice with plenty of fish and coral.

Ship Qualitythis is a 41/2 star cruise for everything except the ship. its preety much the same as any other ship with less stars, but i dont really mind that as long as the food and entertainment are good. We had THE BEST TIME EVER!!! by
Renee G from Utah Sailing date: Oct 2008Pros: Everthing was top notch, the rooms were much bigger than other cruiselines, the supper club was superb! Cons: smoking (I wish they would ban it onboard!) not too bad but some places onboard were worse than others Ship was huge, rooms had plenty of storage and room to move around. Staff was very very friendly and helpful. We loved our room steward and our wait staff. Food was usually pretty good. We were quite pleased with Carnival after hearing negitive reviews. We thought it was a great ship and cuiseline. Ship QualityVery clean and new looking Dining/FoodLido deck food was okay but the dining room and supper club were top notch! We only wish there had been more outdoor dining options other than the lido deck. Stateroom Qualityroom was huge and the fridge and safe were a nice surprise as were the robes provided Ship Staff Qualitygreat! no complaints Entertainment & Activitiesshows were okay. Late nigth lounge act was too vulgar for my taste but I guess I should have known it would be that way. 8 out of 8 people found this review helpful.

  Carnival Glory by
William F. from Sebring, Florida Sailing date: Sep 2008Pros: The planned activities Cons: The food. My wife is very picky, no raw meat and not so much spice. We had a great trip. The staff and activities were great. Only one incident where an activity was published and no one showed to run the activity. It wasn't a big deal, a crossword and trivia activity, but I am a crossword lover and it was kinda of dissapointing not to be able to participate. We played our share of bingo and enjoyed all of the shows. Our room service was top notch thanks to Joseph. When we ate in the dinning room everything was excellent, except maybe for the breads. At both the dinning room and buffett the breads were very hard and not easy to eat with dentures. The ship was clean with staff always right there to remove dirty dishes and empty ashtrays. Carnival should be made aware of a hazard upon departure. We had cleared customs, gathered our luggage and were heading to our parking area when I tripped in the walkway crossing the road in front of the terminal. Needless to say I landed square on my face receiving several bumps and scratches to my face and hands. The baggage attemdemt and my wife said I tripped on a drainage grate. The security people were very helpful in getting me up and to a place to wait while my wife retrieved the car. The attendant told my wife that this happens "quite a bit". I am not bitter as I feel some responsibility for the fall, although I feel something should be done to prevent this from happening again. We plan, hope, to take another cruise soon. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodMy wife is a very picky eater. She will not eat seafood or raw meat. The menu for her is limited mainly to chicken and steak. I know it is hard to plan a menu for 3,000 people, but /////// Stateroom QualityWe really enjoyed the folded towels every night, made us feel special to have our bed turned down and the attention to every detail of cleaning the room. Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & ActivitiesReally enjoyed all the shows. The last night was really nice. They had fellow passengers performing their impressions of famous performers.

Charlotte Amalie, St. ThomasThe long long walk from the ship to the taxi stand was awful. If one had booked a tour the taxis were right there, but for the rest of us "poor folks" it was a long long walk.
Philipsburg, St. MaartenWe are not beach pople and lkke to shop. Mostly jewelry stores here.

Runny eggs and not like the post cards by
A husband and wife from Portland, OR Sailing date: Aug 2008Pros: Stopping in St. Thomas was amazing! Cons: Not enough stops, not enough to do on the ship, food was mediocure. Due to the hurricane, we skipped one of our ports of call, but more time on the ship made the obvious problems come to light: the food was mostly average (with a few good ones in there), the activities when it was raining didn't include much more than opportunities to spend more money or play cards and finally, we just were stir crazy. The only shining light was the service on the cruise, it was excellent. The rooms were fantastically clean, the people we saw every day like the steward and the waiter were both friendly, efficient and surprisingly thorough and overall the ship itself was good for what it was (a floating hotel). Entertainment & Activities
Children's ProgramsThere were more activities for kids on the ship than adults. The video arcade, the separate areas for under 12 and over 12yr olds made them always occupied and everyone I saw that was under 18 was having a blast.

Charlotte Amalie, St. ThomasMaegans Beach, don't skip it and if you can, buy a house there. You also might want to look up the driver that we had at insearchofvi.com. His name was Shane and he was friendly, helpful and willing to go on side trips to make the most of the time off the boat.
Philipsburg, St. MaartenThe beach trip on the French side of the island was okay with a nice scenery but a horrible cafe at the beach with average food.
