Wasn't what I expected considering... by
Mona'e D. from Orlando, FL Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Friendly staff Cons: Lack of activities aboard... The dining food was pretty good. They served lobster tails and shrimp. However, the buffet selections were not good. Compared to other ships I have been on, and considering this is supposed to be a "party ship," it lacked activities aboard. Ship Quality

Great cruise in every way! by
Gail B from Tampa, FL Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Wonderful Crew, Food & Entertainment Cons: Nothing! Cape Canaveral has the most efficient check-in process. From the time we locked our car to standing on deck was 15minutes!!! The ship was very clean & visually appealing. The staff was attentive & pleasant.
Food was Fabulous!!! Entertainment was typical cruise stuff.
both ports of call, Freeport & Nassau were heavenly. We spent a lot of time in the beautiful Bahama water. Atlantis Beach Day tour ($89.00) was overpriced. Cruise passengers are escorted to a designated beach area which is a "hike & a 1/2" in the hot sun, up & down stairs away from the guests. There are no conveniently located lavatories. They promise chairs, but only a small number have sun visors atteched. Umbrella rental (if you weren't lucky enough to get a good chair) is $30.00 in addition to the $89.00 tour. The water was fantastic, however, you can take a taxi to Cable beach for a lot less! Ship QualityBoth public & in-stateroom lavatories have an awful odor which is not unique to this ship. Everything else was wonderful! Dining/FoodQuality of food was excellant. Great choices & Fantastic service!!!! Stateroom QualityBathrooms appear clean but don't smell clean. Typical on many cruise ships. Ship Staff Quality

**the only way to go on vacation** by
Kristin Trowbridge from Urbana, Ohio Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: buffets, entertainment, the staff Cons: little rooms My overall impression of this cruise; AMAZING!! After being on several vacations throughout the years, this is now that only way I will want to take a trip. This was our FIRST time crusing and it was a great experience. There were minor details that I could complain about, but the overall vacation was spectacular. When first approaching the port, I thought to myself, this is going to be crazy getting all of these people with their luggage to the right spot, especially when I was crusing with 5 other people and one of them was a toddler. However, the boarding process was FAST and sooo easy. Before I knew it, we were through security and onto the boat, eating the all u can eat lunch buffet. If you love to eat, then a cruise is for you. THERE WAS EVEN A CHOCOLATE BUFFET FOR ALL YOU CHOCOLATE LOVERS.... the food was always there and fresh. The water was very calm and even porting into the Bahamas was fast and easy. Getting through customs was quick and no problems getting on and off the boat to visit Nassau. The entertainment on board was great-- loved the disco and the waterworks. Finally, at last, getting off the boat was fast. They give you an option of being self issist, by taking your own bags off the boat or waiting for them (the staff) to take it to customs for you. We didnt have any problems there at all. GREAT CRUISE!!! THE STAFF WERE GREAT, especially I PUTU!!! Ship QualityFor being a smaller ship, the boat was still huge to me. We didnt even make it to the front of the shp and we sailed for four days. VERY CLEAN!!! Dining/FoodALL U CAN BUFFETS ALL THE TIME!! No matter if you were hungry at 5pm or 3am, there was always something to eat. Stateroom QualityI will say that the inside staterooms were kinda of small, especially with three adults and a toddler. I will upgrade to a bigger room when we cruise again. LOVE THE TOWEL ANIMALS Ship Staff QualityTHE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL. They were very helpful, friendly and they went above and beyond my expectiations. Our dining room staff were wonderful with my toddler and a smile on their face everytime you saw them..... GREAT!!! Entertainment & ActivitiesKaroke and the Disco were very fun. Casino wasnt too big, but didnt stay too long since I didnt want to lose all of my money.. haha Children's ProgramsCamp Carnivial seemed to be very good. My 2 year old son wouldn't stay in the room, but I would recommend it to all parents. The idea of a cell phone that they give you is a very helpful part in taking your children to the camp. They can call you whenever you are needed even when you are off the ship! :-) 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

  Going Back Again by
Keisha L. from Lithonia, GA Sailing date: Apr 2009Pros: I enjoyed just going to Nassau and not having to get back on the ship to go to another island. I found a private beach in the daytime and partied til 5am just before the shipped sailed, Plan to repeat Cons: Too Short........... The crew was wonderful and being from the islands myself it was nice meeting people from all over the world. Ship QualityEasy to get around Dining/FoodDrank more than I ate. Ship Staff Quality

  An unforgettable vacation by
Damaris P. from NYC, NY Sailing date: Jul 2008Pros: The variety in both activities and food Cons: That it ended This was, as our first cruise, a tad nervewracking. But once on the ship the fears melted away. The rocking of the ship couldn't be felt anymore, and all the ammenities kept us enchanted. The food options were varied and tasty; both formal and casual. We enjoyed looking out our window onto the blue sea and the beds were comfortable despite the limited space. The schedules that were handed out and the orientations about enjoying the off-cruise experience made sure that we knew before hand how to distribute our time and make the most of our time both on and off board. We are already making plans to take another cruise on Carnival; it is addictive! Ship QualityThe spa zone was great. Dining/FoodThe options were delicious. Whether buffet or restaurant, the flavors were excellent. Stateroom QualityI love the "towel surprise". Ship Staff QualityThe crew and workers were very friendly and approachable. Great Cruise, Good Value for the $$ by
A Traveler from North Carolina Sailing date: May 2009Pros: Relaxed Atmosphere Cons: a few obnoxious "drunk" passengers onboard The ship was clean, the staff were efficient and did a great job. There was as little or as much onboard to do as you like. Ship QualityShip size was adequate. We did not wait in many lines. It was a bit smaller than the RC ship that we cruised on in the past but it was still very nice. Decor was nice & neat. Dining/FoodGreat value for the money. We loved the Mongolian buffet - food was cooked right in front of you based on what you picked out. We sampled sushi almost every day. There was always something to eat available and I did not have anything that I considered to be bad. Lobster & Steak was always a good selection and the Chocolate Melting cake was excellent!!!! Our dining room servers "Napa" & Emma were great!! Also I would advise to take advantage of the breakfast & lunch in the formal dining room whenever possible!!! Stateroom QualityWe selected an inside cabin because we do not spend too much time in the room. The size was adequate and the attendent kept the room clean & freshened up each day. We were near the front of the ship on the Empress deck - did not have any problems. Ship Staff QualityAll of the staff that we met were very friendly and attentive to our needs. Entertainment & ActivitiesThere was plenty to do on board. I particualry liked the 80's show by the dancers & singers. Did not care at all for the comedy onboard just a little too rough for my taste I guess - if you go be prepared to hear anything & everything (very adult content).

Freeport, Grand Bahama IslandAt Freeport we booked a beach excursion just because we were not familiar with the area at all. It was a pleasant day.
Nassau, BahamasWe saw Nassua on our own by walking around the area to see the historic sites . We ate at Twin Brothers at the Fish Fry area of town. Decided to try the conch fritters - food was great and they make the best pina colada that I have ever had!! Also do not miss Paradise Beach - We took a cab there for $10 and spent half the day on the "free beach" there about 1/4 of a mile from Atlantis.
Don't Miss: Paradise Beach - 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

  A nice cruise by
A Traveler from Boonville, Missouri Sailing date: Dec 2008Pros: The food was fantastic, the service from the crew was incredible Cons: there was WAY too many kids! The adults let the kids run wild during the cruise. My husband and I wanted to get into the hot tub and it was full of kids playing in it. The pool was not used because it seemed to not be usable. I recommend this cruise when the kids are in school. The cruise ship itself was clean and overall beautiful. The crew was very polite and tried to please everyone. The food was outstanding as well as the waitors. Tehhe problem was WAY too many kids. I think that there was more kids than adults. My husband and I couldn't get into the hot tub because the kids were playing in it even in the late hours. There was late food on the pool deck just for the kids at which the adults weren't allowed to have. Ship QualityThe beds were made up twice with a towel made animal and candies. Nice pampering Dining/FoodFood that couldn't be beat! Stateroom QualityThe rooms were a bit small but cozy. Ship Staff QualityThe staff couldn't be more nicer and helpful! Entertainment & Activities
Children's ProgramsThe kids run wild but they had a "baby-sitting" activity for them every night. I think the kids should stay home.
